Overview We are seeking a dynamic and engaging Community Relations Specialist to serve as a vital link between our organization and the community.This role involves developing and maintaining positive relationships, managing public outreach initiatives, and enhancing our organization's visibility through strategic communication efforts.The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be bilingual (preferred), and have experience in media relations, social media management, and public relations.This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working in a collaborative environment dedicated to community engagement and development.Responsibilities Cultivate and maintain relationships with local media outlets, community organizations, and stakeholders to promote organizational initiatives.Develop and execute strategic public relations campaigns to enhance community awareness and engagement.Manage social media platforms, creating engaging content, monitoring interactions, and analyzing engagement metrics to optimize outreach efforts.Serve as a spokesperson for the organization during public speaking engagements, community events, and press conferences.Coordinate volunteer programs and manage volunteer recruitment, training, and recognition efforts.Assist with business development activities by identifying partnership opportunities within the community.Plan and implement fundraising campaigns to support organizational programs and initiatives.Collect data on community needs, feedback, and outreach effectiveness to inform future strategies.Develop marketing materials and oversee social media marketing efforts to increase visibility.Contribute to strategic planning sessions to align community engagement goals with organizational objectives.Manage budgets related to community outreach activities, ensuring effective allocation of resources.Experience Proven experience in public relations, media relations, or community outreach roles.Strong public speaking skills with experience addressing diverse audiences.Demonstrated ability in social media management and social media marketing strategies.Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to effectively communicate with diverse populations.Experience in volunteer management, fundraising, or business development is preferred.Excellent communication skills with the ability to craft compelling messages across multiple platforms.Knowledge of data collection methods for community feedback and program evaluation.Strategic planning experience with an understanding of budgeting processes related to outreach activities.This position is ideal for a proactive individual passionate about fostering positive community relationships while utilizing their marketing, communication, and public relations expertise in a meaningful way.Work Location:In person.
