Job Description
Compensation & Benefits Analyst MSA is seeking to add a Compensation & Benefits Analyst to our HR Team. This role plays a critical, behind-the-scenes role in shaping MSA's Total Rewards strategy. This position is primarily focused on compensation administration, analysis, and reporting, serving as a key analytical partner to HR leadership. Who are we looking for? A flex time program that empowers you to manage your schedule because life doesn't always fit inside 9 to 5 A flexible work environment , including hybrid and remote options where possible, to support your productivity and well-being Responsibilities What you will do: Compensation Administer and maintain compensation programs, including salary structures, job architecture, and pay ranges aligned with Total Rewards strategy. Lead data preparation, validation, and analysis for the annual compensation cycle (merit, market adjustments). Conduct internal equity and market analyses to support consistent, competitive pay decisions. Provide analytical support and recommendations for off-cycle compensation requests and pay decisions. Perform financial modeling and scenario analysis to evaluate compensation changes and program impacts. Partner with Talent Acquisition and HR leaders by delivering compensation insights and structured recommendations. Collaborate with external compensation consultants to interpret market data and inform salary grade structures. Incentives & Total Rewards Reporting Administer incentive programs, including bonus calculations, audits, and reporting outputs. Develop Total Rewards reporting and statements that quantify and communicate program value for leadership use. Benefits Analysis & Administration Analyze benefits utilization, cost trends, and plan performance to support design recommendations. Conduct financial and impact analysis for new or revised benefit offerings. Support benefits administration processes, including open enrollment system setup and testing. Partner with vendors and brokers to resolve complex issues and evaluate performance. Administer benefit programs (medical, dental, vision, etc) Compliance & Data Integrity Ensure compliance with applicable regulations (ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA). Partner with HRIS to maintain data accuracy and optimize compensation and benefits system functionality. Develop recurring and ad hoc reports that support executive and HR decision-making. Qualifications What you bring: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field. 5+ years of experience supporting compensation, benefits, HR analytics, or Total Rewards programs. Strong knowledge of compensation practices, including market pricing, salary structure design, and pay equity analysis. Experience analyzing and administering benefits programs, with exposure to self-funded plans and ESOP environments preferred. Advanced Excel and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret trends and build data-driven recommendations. Experience working within HRIS systems and collabo
