Tempus Unlimited, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that provides community-based services to empower children and adults with disabilities to live as independently as possible in the least restrictive environment. The agency, through its programs and services, encourages the inclusion of people with disabilities into the mainstream of society, including social, recreational, family and work activities. The Compliance Coordinator supports the organization's Compliance department while overseeing the processing of records disclosures, including protected health information (PHI) and personally identifiable information (PII). This role ensures that all information releases, regulatory activities, and internal processes align with applicable federal, state laws, including HIPAA and state privacy requirements. The Compliance Coordinator serves as a key operational and compliance resource, supporting audits, investigations, incident response, and disclosure management. Essential Duties Compliance Support Assist in the implementation and ongoing support of the organization's compliance department Support internal monitoring activities and risk assessments Maintain logs for incidents, complaints, disclosures, and corrective actions Assist investigating potential compliance incidents, including documentation and follow-up Support breach/incident response processes in coordination with leadership Monitor compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements Release of Information (ROI) & Disclosure Management Process and fulfill requests for PHI and PII in accordance with HIPAA and applicable state laws Review and validate authorizations, subpoenas, court orders, and other legal requests Apply the minimum necessary standard to all disclosures Maintain accurate accounting of disclosures and track
