Job Description
Mission Statement:Our mission is the development and manufacturing of products that improve the lives of animals, while ensuring the safety, quality, and compliance of the products to the highest industry standards.Primary Function:The Sanitation Technician plays a critical role in maintaining hygiene and cleanliness in pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.This position ensures that all equipment, surfaces, and production areas meet stringent sanitation standards, thereby supporting compliance with regulatory requirements and good manufacturing practices (GMP).Key Responsibilities: Responsible for cleaning and inspecting all bulk storage containers. Responsible for documenting all usage and cleaning times for bulk storage containers as indicated in the applicable equipment log. Responsible for the cleaning of and usage of pumps as directed by the Compounding Manager. Maintains the cleanliness of the compounding area by regularly removing any accumulated trash and debris. Responsible for cleaning floors and using squeegee to remove excess liquid from floors. Responsible for cleaning and inspecting all out-of-place premix containers Must attend all training programs as instructed. Must understand and adhere to all applicable GMP standards as described in SOP G103 and all Personnel Responsibilities as described in SOP G102 Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Responsible for documenting all usage and cleaning times for mixing tanks as indicated in the applicable equipment log. Responsible for the cleaning of and usage of pumps and hoses as directed by the Compounding Manager. Maintains the cleanliness of the compounding area by regularly removing any accumulated trash and debris. Responsible for cleaning floors/drains and using squeegee to remove excess liquid from floors. Responsible for pumping approved products from mixing tanks to storage tanks or lines. Responsible for the cleaning of all out-of-place equipment (hoses, pumps, paddles, etc.) Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.Skills & Knowledge Required: High school diploma or equivalent, preferred. Previous experience in sanitation or cleaning in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment preferred. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and sanitization techniques, preferred. Familiarity with GMP and regulatory standards in pharmaceutical manufacturing, preffered. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures meticulously.
