Job Description We're hiring a Concessions Attendant / Usher at Merlin's Magic Lantern-where locals and visitors alike come for the big screens, great sound, and that classic movie experience surrounded by the stunning Sun Valley scenery.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a friendly, fast-paced environment and loves making people smile.You'll get to know our regular patrons, create positive interactions, and be part of a tight-knit team that keeps the magic of movie nights alive.Position Overview Role:Concessions Attendant / Usher (combined position - you'll rotate between front-of-house duties) Location:Ketchum, ID (small-town vibe with a welcoming community) Type:Part-time / Full-time flexible (evenings, weekends, holidays, and matinees - movie schedules vary!) Pay:Competitive hourly rate tips (concessions are popular!) Start Date:Immediate / Flexible Key Responsibilities Warmly greet guests at the concessions stand, take orders, prepare fresh popcorn, drinks, candy, and other snacks quickly and accurately.Operate the point-of-sale system (computer-based ticketing and concessions - cashless preferred, so tech-savviness helps!).Handle payments accurately, and upsell combo deals with a friendly approach.Usher guests:Scan tickets, direct patrons to their auditoriums, assist with seating, and ensure everyone finds their spot comfortably.Maintain a spotless environment:Clean and restock the concessions area, wipe counters, sweep/vacuum lobbies and theaters between showings, empty trash, and keep restrooms tidy.Provide excellent customer service - answer questions about movies, showtimes, or the theater, and handle any concerns with a positive attitude.Work as part of a small team to keep operations smooth during busy rushes and slower times.What We're Looking For We're prioritizing personality and people skills above all - if you have a genuinely warm, outgoing vibe and love chatting with folks from all walks of life (tourists, families, locals), you'll fit right in!
