Job OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Concrete Estimator to join our team.In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for concrete projects; and collaborating closely with executives, project managers, and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and successful project execution.This is an opportunity for someone interested in construction estimating Responsibilities Read/ review construction documents for all disciplines and understand the scope of work to bid Read and understand project specifications Read and understand front-end documents Understand and execute take-off to complete bottoms-up comprehensive estimates Produce detailed estimates in a timely manner Ensure that the estimates are complete and organized Understand and edit a Scope of Work Prepare and submit proposals with inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications Ensure that estimates address possible risks and concerns Preparation of schedules for estimate preparation Define resource requirements for estimate Attend pre-bid meetings Ensure that estimates meet the standards of the company and the customer Use critical thinking and problem solving to recognize construction issues as well as identify solutions Maintain an open line of communication with company staff, contractors, and customers both orally and written.Provide Operations with appropriate scopes of work Build and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure best pricing on materials is received Conduct project site visits as needed Participates with managers in identifying improvement opportunities for quality of work and cost efficiencies Reviews labor production rates, efficiencies, material pricing, and job conditions to deliver reasonable estimates of probable cost Review contractual documents and contract modifications Prepares professional, effective business presentations, correspondence, and reports Remain current on market place developments and estimating technology advances.Take an active role in trade associations and other community-based activities Qualifications Proven experience in construction and ability to read and understand drawings and specifications of all disciplines.Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to build strong relationships with vendors and clients.Proficiency with Bluebeam, CostOS, and other construction estimating software tools.Solid understanding of construction site operations and project management principles.Basic understanding of contracts, change orders, and cost control strategies Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications accurately.Previous experience in estimating, or project management is preferred, but we will train the right person.Construction site experience in any capacity is highly desirable to better understand field conditions impacting estimates.Pay:$1,400.00 - $3,500.00 per week Benefits:401(k) matching Dental insurance Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Language:English (Required) Work Location:In person.
