Junior Equipment Technician - Growth Opportunity A privately-owned equipment rental company is looking for a Junior Technician to work directly under our Service Manager and grow into a full technician role.We're looking for someone with real-world work experience, a strong work ethic, energetic, a problem solver and a desire to build a long-term career in the equipment industry.We specialize in renting out forklifts, aerial lifts, small engines, telehandlers, etc.We need someone who is experienced, energetic, high integrity and a problem solver to help keep our equipment running at its best.What You'll Do:? Routine Maintenance & Repairs - Perform scheduled servicing to keep equipment in top condition ? Inspections - Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance ? Diagnose & Fix Issues - Troubleshoot, repair, or replace defective parts, components, or systems as necessary ? Service Documentation - Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used ? Electric, Gas, Diesel, & Propane Equipment - Work on a variety of electric, diesel, gas, and propane-powered vehicles & machinery ? Team Collaboration - Work alongside other service technicians to troubleshoot and solve complex issues ? Equipment Delivery & Setup - Assist with delivering and preparing equipment for customer use ? Safety Compliance - Follow strict safety protocols while working on heavy machinery to prevent accidents and injuries ? Fleet Appearance & Organization - Help with painting, refurbishing, and ensuring work areas and tools are properly maintained Education & Experience:? High school diploma, trade school certification is a plus ? Previous experience in field service, equipment maintenance, or repair is preferred Physical Requirements:? Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and move freely throughout the workday ? Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds as needed Additional Requirements:? This role is classified as safety-sensitive, and employment is contingent upon successfully passing a 10-panel drug screening and background check.What We're Looking For:? Experience working with construction/industrial rental equipment ? Mechanical skills - hydraulic, diesel, gas, propane and electrical troubleshooting ? Valid Driver's License (CDL a plus but not required) ? Equipment Operator Certification a Plus (or willingness to get certified) ? Self-Motivated & Team-Oriented - Take initiative and work well with others ? Bilingual in Spanish & English is a plus, but not required ?
