Position Summary: Solid LLC is seeking a driven Sales Professional to join our team. This is a full-cycle sales role where your primary objective—and the core metric by which your performance will be evaluated—is your ability to successfully close contracts, driven by your win rate and margin dollars sold. While this position requires executing the entire estimating process—from the initial job walk to completing and delivering the final proposal, these tasks, while each needs to be performed excellently, are ultimately only the foundation for your true objective: winning the work . Accurate estimates require a strong carpentry and construction background to correctly assign time units to individual takeoff items. Because this is fundamentally a sales position, exceptional customer-facing skills, strategic follow-up, and deep field expertise are essential to effectively estimate, present, and close the job. The Ideal Candidate: This role is exceptionally well-suited for a former remodeling contractor or carpentry subcontractor with extensive hands-on field experience. You have a proven track record of not only selling but managing your own projects, and you are now looking to leverage your expertise within a larger, established organization. Responsibilities: · Manage the Full Sales Cycle: Take full ownership of the process, from the initial job walk and detailed estimating to presenting the proposal and securing the signed contract. · Accurate Project Estimating: Analyze blueprints, specifications, and on-site conditions to accurately determine project requirements and assign precise time units to takeoff items. · Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with project managers to ensure finalized estimates align seamlessly with project budgets, timelines, and execution strategies. · Pipeline & Data Management: Actively utilize Salesforce CRM software to track leads, manage customer interactions, and maintain the consistent follow-up required to close sales. · Documentation: Utilize construction estimating software to ensure accurate calculations and maintain organized project documentation. Requirements: · A proven track record of not only generating accurate estimates but successfully closing the sales on the projects you bid. · Direct experience as a construction estimator or in a similar sales-driven role, with a strong focus on residential remodeling and residential new construction. · A minimum of five (5) years of hands-on field experience as a residential framer or carpenter. · Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to confidently navigate client interactions, articulate value, and negotiate contracts.
