Duties Review detailed project plans, specifications, and drawings to develop comprehensive cost estimates Utilize estimating software such as FieldWire and Active Takeoff to prepare accurate bid proposals Conduct site visits to gather on-the-ground insights for precise cost calculations and project assessments Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure favorable pricing and terms Review RFIs, addendums, and bid documents Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to align estimates with project scope, schedule, and budget goals Monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgets and implement cost control measures when necessary Prepare detailed bid packages, contracts, and proposals that clearly outline scope of work, pricing, and timelines Requirements Proven experience in construction estimating, with a strong understanding of construction management principles Proficiency in estimating tools such as Fieldwire, Takeoff, Microsoft Office suite, and other relevant software Solid knowledge of construction site operations, contracts, and project management processes Excellent negotiation skills to secure competitive prices while fostering positive relationships with vendors and subcontractors Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately Effective communication skills to coordinate with diverse teams and stakeholders Prior experience in cost control, pricing strategies, and managing construction budgets is highly desirable Ability to work full-time and meet deadlines Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required Preferred Experience Commercial meta framing and drywall projects Hospitals, gyms, retails stores, banks, and tenant improvements.
