Looking for a Construction Foreman We are in search of an experienced Construction Foreman to join our hardworking team and grow with us. The ideal candidate is a proactive, hands-on leader who thrives in the field, excels at managing small crews, and can safely operate heavy equipment with skill. This is a full-time, in-person position with competitive salary compensation based on experience. If you're coachable, take pride in your work, and want to contribute to quality infrastructure projects, we're looking for you. About the Company We are a small and growing civil construction firm that builds residential infrastructure for developers and new neighborhoods. We are a team of 20+ people made up of office administrators, field operators, coordinators, laborers and mechanics. We are hardworking, results-oriented, reliable, consistent, and a tight-knit team. We are proud of our work and the quality we offer. Job Description, Responsibilities, and Measurements of Performance As our team's Construction Foreman, you'll lead a small field crew to punch out job sites, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to high aesthetic standards. This hands-on role blends crew management with equipment operation, requiring you to keep your team on track while jumping in to get the job done. Here's what you'll do and how success is measured: Field Leadership & Supervision : Direct a small crew (operators and laborers), assign daily tasks, and ensure timely progress on job site cleanup and finishing work (e.g., backfilling, dressing up sites, painting manhole lids, picking up trash). Heavy Equipment Operation : Operate machinery like tractors, skid steers, and curb machines (preferred) to assist with grading, concrete work, and site prep; maintain equipment in good working order. Project Execution : Read and interpret site plans and drawings to execute punch-out tasks (e.g., installing riprap, repairing silt fence, laying straw matting for erosion control); proactively identify and fix issues (e.g., uneven grading, poor aesthetics) self-sufficiently. Documentation & Reporting : Keep accurate timesheets for your crew, manage receipts and tickets, and report daily progress or delays to the General Superintendent. Safety & Compliance : Enforce company safety protocols, conduct daily safety checks, and ensure crew compliance with PPE and environmental regulations. Key Measurements of Success : Complete punch-out tasks on assigned job sites within schedule (e.g., dressing and cleanup finished before final inspection). Maintain minimal safety incidents through proactive oversight. Accurately track crew hours and material usage, submitted on time each week. Achieve client satisfaction with finished site aesthetics (e.g., no rework needed). Day-to-Day Expectations of this Position Working Conditions : You'll spend 100% of your time in the field at job sites, managing crews and operating equipment. Expect a fast-paced environment with physical demands and variable hours based on project needs and weather conditions. Travel Requirements : Travel to job sites within the region is required daily, typically within driving distance of our office. A valid driver's license is essential, and a Commercial Driver's License is a plus but not mandatory. What We Offer This position comes with a competitive compensation package, support, and benefits: Starting salary range of $75,000 annually, based on experience, with opportunity for growth based on performance.
