American International Contractors (Special Projects), Inc. (AICI-SP) is currently seeking General Superintendent candidates to work on upcoming secure projects OCONUS. An ACTIVE U.S. Secret Level Security Clearance is required for this position. American International Contractors (Special Projects), Inc. PRIMARY FUNCTION: The General Superintendent is responsible for the coordination of all site construction activities and supervision of all field personnel as required to successfully complete the project on schedule and within budget. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Management and supervision of Site field staff. Supervision of the actual physical construction of the project in strict accordance with the contract documents Verification of safety compliance with all trades Responsible for coordinating and managing all of the disciplines required to complete the contract Maintain and plan reports, work-arounds, shutdowns and tie-ins Enforce safety and quality-control policies Monitor schedule to ensure that they are meeting goals budget Maintain records of material and labor costs Plan the use of supplies and materials to guard against loss and to ensure that vital materials are ordered and delivered to meet schedule Direction and day-to-day coordination of trade Superintendent to ensure they turn out high-quality work that meets the approved project schedule. Maintain satisfactory relationships with clients and subcontractors Ability to work in a team environment with other Project Managers, Engineers and Superintendents Other duties as assigned by Project Manager or Operations Manager KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED: Must be authorized to work in the United States Must have an active U.S. secret level security clearance 10 or more years of commercial/nonresidential general superintendent experience Knowledge, skill, and experience with U.S. construction methods, techniques, and standards Must be willing to work overseas PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: International construction industry experience interacting with various diverse cultures.
