Job Description
About the Role To complete construction and concrete projects in a safe and timely manner based on project deadlines.This is a full-time position (40-60hours per week) dependent on the site projects.On call for emergencies.Work with construction team and projects at each site in Kansas and Nebraska - new construction, maintenance, upgrades, and renovations Have a thorough understanding of project plans and materials Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory - be able to source parts as needed Ensure company equipment, materials and the work site are maintained and kept in a safe working order Ability to troubleshoot and fix problems Utilization of work order program - work orders completed on time based on order of importance Communicating updates and concerns in a timely fashion On call for emergency breakdowns Requirements Be punctual and manage time well Observe general safety of people, animals, and equipment Excellent time and project management skills Good communication skills Ability to problem solve Willing to learn Be a team player Keep area clean Be trustworthy and respectful Follow established policies and routines Compensation Starting pay is $20+/hour Housing is provided, if available Uniforms provided upon completion of 3 months Company contribution to medical insurance; employee paid vision and dental plans Eligible for 401K participation upon completion of 6 months Eligible for group life insurance upon completion of 12 months Eligible for vacation upon completion of 12 months About Us Ohlde Dairy Ohlde Family Farms 24/7 Dairy Operation Herd number is about 1525 with 350 dry and close up cows We milk 176 cows per hour We produce 120,000 pounds or 15,000 gallons of milk per day We have an average of 10 calves born per day Nutrition 5 different rations made up of a combination of corn or corn silage and different varieties of hay, plant-based proteins and vitamins and minerals Each ration is specific to cow's requirements for the amount of milk she is producing Cows are fed once per day which will last them 24 hours Cow Comfort Cows live in free stall barns that are climate controlled to ensure maximum comfort Cows lay on sand to keep them clean and help keep them cool or warm depending on time of year Cows are free to roam about, eat, drink, sleep and chat with their other cow friends.
