Construction Laborer Location:Detroit, MICompany:Solid Grounds LLCJob Type:Full-Time About Solid Grounds LLC Solid Grounds LLC is a growing construction company focused on quality workmanship, efficiency, and teamwork.We're building a strong crew and are looking for dependable laborers who take pride in their work and want consistent hours with opportunities to grow.Position Overview We are seeking a reliable, hardworking Construction Laborer with at least 1 year of hands-on construction experience.This role is ideal for someone who works well on a team, follows direction, and is motivated to develop their skills in the construction trades.Trade students are strongly encouraged to apply.This position offers hands-on experience across multiple trades in an active job-site environment.Key Responsibilities Assist with general construction tasks including demolition, site cleanup, material handling, and job site preparation Load and unload construction materials, equipment, and tools Support skilled trades with general building tasks such as drywall, flooring, and site support Assist with framing tasks as needed (experience not required) Safely operate basic hand and power tools Accurately read and use measuring tools including a tape measure, level, and speed square Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site Follow all safety protocols and company procedures Complete assigned tasks efficiently and on schedule under supervisor direction Required Qualifications 1year of construction or general labor experience Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools Ability to accurately use a tape measure, level, and speed square Ability to lift 50lbs and perform physical labor Reliable transportation to job sites Valid government-issued ID required Strong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to learn Ability to pass a background check Preferred (Not Required) Skills Framing experience (a plus, not required) Experience or exposure to electrical, plumbing, or HVAC work Enrollment in or completion of a construction or skilled trades program Interest in learning multiple trades and advancing within the company Compensation & Benefits Pay:$15-$30 per hour (based on experience and skill level) Consistent, full-time work (Monday-Friday) Opportunities for growth and skill development across multiple trades Supportive, team-oriented work environment How to Apply Apply with your work experience, trade background (if applicable), and availability.Qualified candidates will be contacted for an interview.Job Type:Full-time Pay:$15.00 - $30.00 per hour Benefits:On-the-job training Opportunities for advancement Application Question(s):Do you know how to use hand power tools?
