Duties & Responsibilities As a Construction Laborer, your primary responsibilities will focus on maintaining a safe, clean, and organized construction site to ensure smooth project operations. Your day-to-day tasks will include: Performing general site cleanup and debris removal, including sweeping, raking, and collecting waste materials. Assisting skilled tradespersons with various tasks, such as material handling, equipment setup, and basic tool operation. Loading and unloading construction materials, ensuring they are stored safely and efficiently. Preparing work areas by setting up barricades, signage, and safety cones as directed. Operating basic hand and power tools under supervision, adhering to all safety protocols. Assisting with the demolition of non-load-bearing structures and removal of old materials. Transporting tools and equipment to and from work areas as needed. Maintaining a clean and organized tool and equipment storage area. Adhering strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Collaborating effectively with all team members, including project managers, supervisors, and other laborers, to ensure project milestones are met. Reporting any unsafe conditions or hazards to the site supervisor immediately. Potentially assisting with minor repair and maintenance tasks on site.
