Job Description
Cytric is seeking an experienced and motivated Construction Manager / Project Manager to oversee commercial and industrial construction, infrastructure, and facility improvement projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing construction operations, subcontractors, schedules, budgets, and technical coordination across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, controls, and general construction disciplines. This position requires a hands-on leader who can manage projects from planning through completion while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. Position Summary The Construction Manager / Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating field activities, managing subcontractors and vendors, overseeing project schedules and budgets, and serving as the primary point of contact between clients, field teams, and management. The candidate should have a strong technical understanding of building systems including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, Building Management Systems (BMS), and SCADA systems. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day construction operations for multiple projects. Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, field personnel, inspectors, and vendors. Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and deliverables. Monitor project budgets, costs, procurement, and change orders. Review drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and project documentation. Coordinate electrical, mechanical, plumbing, controls, SCADA, and building systems work. Oversee construction quality, field productivity, and project safety. Lead project meetings with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. Prepare daily reports, progress reports, schedules, and project updates. Coordinate shutdowns, equipment installations, testing, commissioning, and startup activities. Troubleshoot field issues and provide practical solutions to keep projects moving. Manage field crews, foremen, and subcontractors to maintain project performance. Ensure projects are completed according to contract requirements and company standards. Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management or project management. Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and general construction systems. Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) and SCADA systems. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Experience managing subcontractors, schedules, and project coordination. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, and project management software. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Preferred Qualifications Experience with commercial, industrial, healthcare, or infrastructure projects. Knowledge of switchgear, generators, pumps, HVAC systems, controls, and facility operations. Experience with commissioning, startup, and system integration. OSHA safety knowledge and construction site safety practices. Work Requirements Ability to work flexible hours including nights or weekends when required for project schedules or shutdowns. Ability to travel to project sites as needed. Ability to work in active construction and mechanical/electrical environments. Ability to walk job sites, climb ladders/stairs, and inspect ongoing work activities.
