We are seeking a dynamic and experienced MEP Superintendent to join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of prefab datacenter construction projects from inception to completion. We are seeking a candidate with previous ground-up datacenter experience that is familiar with MEP installation practices and their requirements. Our Ideal Candidate Will Have A bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience At least five years of experience in the MEP construction industry, overseeing all aspects of mechanical and electrical system installation in state of the art buildings Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple teams, trade partners, and stakeholders A Construction OSHA 30 within the last 5 years or ability to renew Strong knowledge of NEC requirements and proficiency Proficient in project reporting software, MS Office, and blueprint reading Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards Problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and results-oriented approach A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to various job sites Requirements Leadership: Proven ability to supervise, coordinate, and motivate MEP trade partners and field personnel. Organization: Strong ability to plan, sequence, and oversee complex multi‑trade installations. Experience Extensive experience in commercial MEP construction, system installation, commissioning, and coordination. Proven ability to manage both large ground‑up projects and interior renovations involving major MEP system upgrades. Experience with projects valued $2M+, including equipment replacement, infrastructure upgrades, and high‑complexity system installs. Safety: A Superintendent is required, at a minimum, to possess a valid OSHA 30 card at all times while working on Marand projects. Problem-Solving: individual should have and demonstrate good problem-solving skills. Communication: individual should possess and demonstrate excellent communication skills not only with team members, but also with the Project Management and the Customer. Computer Skills: individual needs to be computer literate and should have basic computer knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft Office and Procore software. OSHA-30 Hour Training Required as well as recertification every 5 years per Marand policy The successful Superintendent should have the minimum of a High School Diploma. A Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year College or University or an Associate’s Degree from a Vocational School is a plus. A minimum of five to ten years’ experience “on the job” is required. Travel is a requirement of this job. Travel can be up to 75% Responsibilities Enforcing safety compliance (OSHA and Marand safety plan and policies) and advocating for safety is the number one priority. Review, verify, and oversee installation layouts for MEP systems, including equipment placement, sleeves, hangers, duct routing, conduit paths, and plumbing rough‑ins. Supervise the construction effort in the field to ensure that the project is completed in accordance with design, budget, schedule, and customer objectives. Conduct weekly on-site meetings with trade partners, vendors, and others as appropriate with respect to schedule safety issues, and other matters relating to performance in the field.
