Job Description
Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Project Executive to join our Solar group whois responsible forprovidingoverall management for large projects, leading the project team, and ensuring key and successful customer relations, as well asassistingoperating groupswith winning work. This individual will have theability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment,remainingflexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient witha high levelof professionalism and confidentiality. Location: Any home base location in the continental United States Travel: Up to 50%; you'll be managing a portfolio of projects within a certain region RESPONSIBILITIES Establish andmaintainsuccessful customer and community relationships Conduct key customer service visits from pre-construction to close-out Preview proposals andparticipatein Request for Proposal process Act as primary customer contact for assigned projects Support business development initiatives andmaintaincustomer relationships Provide oversight and accountability for large projects Manage contract administration, including terms, change requests, and invoices Maintain project budgets, costs, and pricing for profitable delivery Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance management for project team QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent field Minimum 10 years’ experience in construction management overseeing large projects Proven ability to fulfill development to closeout responsibilities for multiple, complex projects Experience with energy projects preferred Utility scale solar experience preferred Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks Possess basic understanding of construction law andgenerally acceptedbusiness practices Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%). Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. #IND-GNL Please make note: Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position.
