Job Title: Continuous Improvement Manager Location: Statesville, North Carolina Company: Eclipse Outdoor Reports to : Site Manager The Mission Eclipse Outdoor is not looking for a report builder—we’re looking for a problem killer. This role owns the elimination of waste, inefficiency, and excuses inside our Statesville manufacturing operation. You will be expected to walk the floor, challenge the status quo, fix what’s broken, and build systems that scale. If you like endless meetings and theoretical improvements, this isn’t your job. What You’ll Actually Do Hunt down inefficiencies in production, materials, and labor—and eliminate them Own Lean execution: 5S that actually sticks, Kaizens that produce results, and standard work that people follow Turn data into action—daily, weekly, and monthly performance improvement (not dashboards that collect dust) Get on the floor. Daily. This is not a desk role. Challenge processes, people, and assumptions—with facts Partner with production leadership to drive output, reduce lead times, and increase throughput Build systems that don’t fall apart when you’re not in the room Lead rapid improvement events that produce measurable gains immediately Train teams to think differently, act faster, and take ownership Push accountability at every level—no hiding behind “that’s how we’ve always done it” What We Expect 5+ years in manufacturing with real, proven process improvement wins (not theory) Deep experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar—but more importantly, proof you’ve used it You’re comfortable calling out problems and fixing them You know how to influence operators, supervisors, and leadership without babysitting Strong analytical mindset—you use numbers to win arguments You move fast, prioritize hard, and don’t wait for perfect conditions You’re as comfortable on a production floor as you are in a meeting (probably more) Bonus Points Experience in high-mix manufacturing or custom-built products Six Sigma certification (Green/Black Belt) Experience scaling operations or fixing broken ones Background in outdoor products, fabrication, or assembly environments How You’ll Be Measured Output up.
