Tacoma Roofing & Waterproofing, a well-established commercial and residential roofing contractor, has an immediate opportunity for a Contract Administrator, who is a team player and has a good understanding of roofing or general construction contract administration. We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with outstanding interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, and commitment to excellence. The Contract Administrator is responsible for the overall contract process as well as insurance management. This person manages the contracts, from drafting in-house subcontracts to transferring all job details to the assigned Project Manager, acting as a liaison between our management team and the customer. The Contract Administrator is someone who is extremely detailed oriented, meticulous, and is an excellent communicator. Key Responsibilities Contract Drafting and Review: Create, edit, and analyze contract terms to accurately reflect business agreements. Legal and Regulatory Knowledge: Understand contract law, compliance standards, and identify, analyze, and mitigate risks. Negotiation and Communication: Negotiate terms and communicate effectively with management and customers to resolve conflicts. Attention to Detail: Intense focus on precise language, grammar, and contractual obligations to prevent ambiguity. Project Files & Documentation: Accurately manage project files, records, and documentation. Insurance Administration: Manage insurance audits, submit COIs, and gain bonding, when required. Compliance & Risk: Ensure compliance with local regulations and contractual terms. Reduce contract risks and disputes. Required Skills and Qualifications Analytical Thinking: Evaluate complex scenarios and identify potential problems before they escalate. Relationship Management and Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to manage relationships and build rapport between customers and management to foster collaboration. Flexibility and Strategic Thinking: Adapt to changes and pre-planning alternatives for negotiations. Software Proficiency: Competent with MS Office Suite and construction management software. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in reviewing contracts, insurance policies, and financial documents.
