Key Responsibilities of the Controller: Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, job cost accounting, AP/AR, payroll, and fixed assets. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Maintain internal controls and ensure SOX compliance; manage audits and related documentation. Lead job cost accounting processes including project setup, cost tracking, and revenue recognition. Partner with operations to analyze project performance and improve profitability. Develop and implement standardized reporting and financial dashboards. Mentor and develop accounting team members, fostering a collaborative environment. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Monitor financial risks and provide insights to leadership. Qualifications of the Controller: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA required. 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities. Strong experience with job cost accounting and project-based environments. Experience with ERP systems and process improvement initiatives.
