Job Description Job Description Job Brief We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Financial Manager responsible for managing ViaCore's financial actions and playing a key role in its strategic direction. The role blends traditional accounting oversight with forward-looking strategy and leadership. This individual will serve as the company's accountant, responsible for overseeing all day-to-day accounting operations, and ensuring the integrity of financial data. This role balances technical accounting expertise with leadership and strategic analysis. Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/CMA preferred for CFO level). Certification: CPA or CMA strongly preferred to ensure the technical rigor required for high-growth scaling. Experience: 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing or cost-accounting environment. Technical Skills: Advanced MS Excel skills and proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage, or similar). Soft Skills: Exceptional strategic thinking and the ability to connect financial data to overarching business goals. Qualifications and Skills Proven bookkeeping experience, ideally in a manufacturing or cost-accounting environment. Strong understanding of financial principles, forecasting, and data analysis. Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ERP systems) and MS Excel. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Manufacturing Acumen: Understanding production, inventory, and supply chain costs. Strategic Thinking: Connecting financial data to business goals. Attention to Detail: For accurate bookkeeping. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Bookkeeping & Operational Finance (Day-to-Day) Record daily financial transactions (invoices, expenses, receipts) and manage postings. Process Accounts Payable (AP) & Accounts Receivable (AR). Handle payroll, tax withholding, and benefits administration. Reconcile bank accounts and maintain the general ledger. Monthly/quarterly financial statement preparation. Ensure transactional accuracy and compliance with internal controls Strategic Finance & CFO Duties (High-Level): Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Develop budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial models, considering production cycles and raw material costs. Cost Management: Analyze production costs, identify inefficiencies, and recommend cost-reduction strategies. Strategic Guidance: Provide financial insights to leadership for decision-making, supporting growth and risk mitigation. Cash Flow & Capital: Manage cash flow, debt, investments, and identify funding sources for expansion or equipment. Reporting & Compliance: Oversee reporting for executives/stakeholders and ensure adherence to GAAP, tax laws, and regulations. System Improvement: Recommend and implement financial software and process enhancements.
