Job Overview: Search Solution Group is seeking a Controls Engineer on behalf of our client, an engineering company specializing in hydraulic systems. This role is responsible for the design, development, programming, and implementation of control systems for industrial and mobile applications. The Controls Engineer will work across hardware and software development, system integration, and technical support, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-performing operations. This position offers exposure to a wide range of technologies and projects, including PLC programming, HMI design, and electro-hydraulic system integration, within a collaborative and technically driven environment. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement control systems for hydraulic and industrial applications Develop and optimize PLC, HMI, vision, and robotic programs Research and define control algorithms, tools, and system architectures Design electrical circuits, schematics, panel layouts, and general arrangement drawings Perform system performance calculations, component sizing, and technical selection Modify and improve existing control systems to enhance safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness Analyze plant processes and implement automation and process improvements Plan and support preventative maintenance strategies for control systems Troubleshoot system issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve problems Commission and debug control systems both in-house and at customer sites Integrate networked systems including CAN-BUS, Ethernet/IP, and SCADA interfaces Develop HMI interfaces and operator displays for various platforms Support technical sales activities, including customer visits, presentations, and quoting/estimating Provide electro-hydraulic technical support to customers, distribu
