Job Description
Cook Full Time | 10am - 6:30pm | 32 hours per week Part Time | 5am - 9am | 12 hours per week Pay: $15/hr to $16.80/hr (Based on Experience) Why Join Brethren Care Village? What You'll Do as a Cook: Prepares meals according to menu and ensures meals are served in a timely manner. Coordinates dietary functions and/or special events. Responsible for prep work for next day. General sanitation procedures, including performing tasks on a cleaning schedule, daily sanitation evaluations, maintaining a clean work area at all times, etc. Responsible for washing pots and pans. Records daily temperatures on foods, and on refrigerators and freezer. Informs dietary manager of any diet changes from nursing. Responsible for preparing foods for special activities. Responsible for putting stock away. Attends dietary meetings. Attends facility in-services. Other duties as assigned. Requirements for a Cook: A High School Degree or equivalent in preferred Prior cooking experience in a restaurant or institutional setting is preferred but not required ServSafe Certification is a PLUS, but not required We recognize the success of our Mission relies on the hard work and dedication of our team members.
