Position Type: Part-Time / Full-Time Hours: Approximately 5:45 AM 2:30 PM (morning and early afternoon shifts) Position Overview The Cook / Kitchen Team Member is responsible for preparing high-quality, made-to-order breakfast and lunch items in a fast-paced, team-driven environment. This role plays a critical part in delivering the Bagel Dock Express experiencefresh, consistent, and efficiently executed food that keeps guests coming back. Key Responsibilities Prepare breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches, and menu items to order with speed and accuracy Follow all recipes, portion standards, and cooking procedures to ensure consistency Properly cook eggs, meats (bacon, sausage, pork roll, ham), and other ingredients Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen workspace at all times Restock and prep ingredients throughout the shift (meats, cheeses, spreads, vegetables) Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate order execution Monitor food quality and presentation standards Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene guidelines Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties Qualifications Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a high-volume environment Strong attention to detail and pride in food quality Reliable, punctual, and comfortable with early morning shifts Team-oriented with strong communication skills Previous kitchen or cooking experience preferred (but not required) Physical Requirements Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to lift up to 3040 lbs (cases of food, supplies, etc.) Comfortable working in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment What Were Looking For Strong work ethic and sense of urgency Consistency in executionevery sandwich, every time Ability to stay calm and focused during busy rushes Commitment to cleanliness and organization Willingness to learn and grow within the company Perks Daytime hours (no late nights) Fast-paced, team-focused work environment Employee meal benefits (per company policy) Opportunity for advancement as the company grows Required qualifications: Legally authorized to work in the United States Preferred qualifications: 18 years or older
