Omni Bedford Springs Resort, LLC dba Omni Bedford Springs Resort & Spa, headquartered at 2138 US Business 220, Bedford, PA 15522; phone number: 814-624-5626, is seeking to fill 14 Cook positions from 05/01/26 - 01/06/2027. This is for full-time, peak-load, temporary employment. Duties include: The Cook will be responsible for following the instructions and guidelines outlined by the Chef or Lead Cook for the shift, assisting with production and prep work as needed, and checking daily production sheets while confirming with the Chef or Lead Cook regarding daily work needs. The Cook will perform work assignments to meet proper quantities within a necessary time frame and prepare food items according to specific standards with timely execution of all meal functions. Responsibilities include maintaining a high level of sanitation, safety, and food quality while upholding a superior level of professionalism. The Cook must have knowledge of standard procedures, kitchens, and storage areas, and be able to communicate effectively with guests, management, and staff. The position requires understanding and compliance with house policies and procedures, job description, chemical labels, and other instructions, along with the ability to respond to any reasonable task assigned by a supervisor or manager, assist in other departments as needed, and attend monthly departmental meetings. Special Requirements:** Three (3) months of culinary experience required. No minimum education requirement. Knowledge of basic kitchen preparation, knife skills, sanitation, and safety. Ability to remain active, including standing for 8+ hour per day. The worker must have strong customer service skills. Conversational English skills. The pay is $15.16 per hour with overtime available at $22.74 per hour, based on hourly rate . The work schedule is as follows: 35 a week from Saturday to Friday: 8-hour shifts from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm, 11:00am to 7:30pm or 3:00 pm to 11:30pm. Job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position. The requested temporary workers will be based at 2198 Sweet Root Rd, Bedford, PA 15522 in Bedford County. Single workweek will be used in computing wages due. Pay period is Bi-Weekly. Employers will deduct all legally required amounts from workers' paychecks. Offsite housing is available at a bi-weekly payroll deduction of $200.00. The fee includes all utilities (water, sewer, electric, Wi-Fi and trash removal) and transportation to and from the worksite. The offered housing is optional for workers . The Employer will provide transportation for workers opting to stay in the provided off-site housing to the worksite. The transportation costs are covered as part of the housing deduction. The Employer will not provide transportation for workers opting out of the optional housing. Transportation, including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging, to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed by a company check, separate from the payroll check, if the worker completes half of the employment period. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back to home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economically and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.78 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Reimbursement in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, inc uding those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker (but not included passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker). The employer will provide worker, at no charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period only to the extent that this guarantee is enforced by the Department of Labor. As of the date of this posting, the three-fourths guarantee is not enforced, but this is subject to change.
