Cook/Prep

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the restaurant or food industry, demonstrating a strong understanding of food safety and kitchen operations. As a Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation and food service, ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring. Follow recipes and menu planning guidelines to ensure consistency and quality in food preparation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards. Support the dietary department by preparing meals that meet specific dietary requirements. Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely service during meal periods. Participate in catering events by preparing large quantities of food as needed. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering when necessary. Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling techniques. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in food preparation. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques and recipes.
