The evaluation service links on the following site are provided by South Texas College for your convenience but are not affiliated with South Texas College: NACES Members Job Description Department: Campus Police General Statement of Job The Parking Compliance Coordinator is responsible for the South Texas College parking program including oversight of the traffic and parking rules and regulations, the operation of the Department of Public Safety database for the issuance of parking permits, management of parking citations, appeals of parking fines, the operation of the independent traffic and parking appeals committee, and coordination of event parking. Reviews and updates traffic rules, regulations and parking fine structure as required. Supervises the Parking Support Specialist assigned to the parking program. Specific Duties and Responsibilities Essential Functions: Responsible for ensuring the parking program meets state regulatory requirements. Supports the parking program in compliance with College policy regarding parking and traffic controls. Reviews and updates the traffic and parking rules and regulations. Maintains the parking program database. Maintains the issuance of parking permits. Oversees the issuance of citations for violations of College rules and regulations. Coordinates the parking appeals program. Responsible for and provides assistance to the independent parking appeals committee. Supports the Department of Public Safety event and security parking program. Ensures that all parking event requests are completed. Monitors fiscal compliance and updates the traffic and parking fines structure, as needed. Updates parking and building maps for all college properties. Ensures department compliance with Texas Education Code regulations. Serves as department liaison for college departments, programs, and outside vendors/visitors for parking purposes. Operates and conducts routine preventive maintenance on College vehicles; notifies appropriate personnel of any vehicle maintenance required. Supervises Parking Support Specialist assigned to the parking program. Processes requisitions and purchase orders for the Office of Safety and Security and the Surveillance Camera program. Maintains accurate account of purchases made for reconciliation purposes for the Office of Safety and Security and Surveillance Camera program budgets. Serves as Campus Security Authority. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred. At least two (2) years of experience in security and safety management required. Experience in parking management, preferred. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, the Windows environment, and internet research skills. Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of constituents both orally and in writing. Ability to collaborate with external regulatory agencies, investigators, and consultants.
