Your role Lead, develop and coordinate the implementation of the state-wide operational quality assurance (QA) framework for Youth Justice NSW for a systematic and standardised oversight of custody and community functions. Youth Justice is developing an anti-racist workforce and requires all employees to call out racist behaviour and to take actions which go towards the goal of being an anti-racist organisation. Youth Justice NSW is leading a Close the Gap agenda and is actively focused on reducing the unacceptably high numbers of Aboriginal young people in the youth justice system. All staff play an integral part in this. What you’ll do Develop the QA framework for community, custody and court logistics including auditing WHS and Food Safety programs. Manage and oversee major aspects of project management and implementation, including monitoring project plans, coordinating resources, and managing budgets. Plan, develop, lead and undertake quality assurance reviews and audits and analyse activities within a designated service delivery section to ensure compliance with established internal controls, quality assurance systems, legislation, policies and procedures. Manage other projects designed to review, monitor and improve the effectiveness of service delivery within the Division. Provide timely advice and communication to key stakeholders across the Division regarding quality review and audit outcomes and corrective action required. Provide high level advice and support to team members in undertaking tasks and conducting quality assurance reviews and audits as required. Prepare a range of QA related documents to key stakeholders as required, including reports, status updates, performance indicators, budgets and discussion papers.
