Job Description: This position is within the corporate bank client coverage/origination for Regions Bank and Regions Securities LLC. The Corporate Banking Analyst serves as the primary analytical support for senior bankers in the origination and execution of traditional corporate banking products and services, including loan syndications, various capital markets products, and strategic and financial advisory services. Analysts also assist in the cultivation of client relationships by conducting research, staying abreast of client and industry trends, and participating in industry and client related strategic and tactical planning. Analysts participate in client meetings, due diligence visits, and other client interactions during which they gain exposure to key executives and senior bankers. The Analyst provides these services as part of a client team that also consists of Associates, Vice Presidents, and Directors/Managing Directors. Analysts are expected to split time between a) supporting live deals and pitches across the full spectrum of products and services, b) supporting general advisory assignments (public and private company buy-side and sell-side engagements, etc.), and c) research/analytical support. Primary Responsibilities Supports senior bankers in their relationship responsibilities, including interacting with current and prospective clients Maintains proprietary databases through monitoring news, current events, transactions and financial information for clients, prospects and other industry participants Understands client needs and identifies Regions products and services, or other unique, actionable ideas that can help clients achieve their goals Develops and maintains detailed financial models to value companies and depict projected financial results Ensures high quality of client deliverables by having strong written communication skills and attention to detail Prepares written material, including pitches, proposals, client materials and associated supporting analyses Conducts extensive financial and industry due diligence to evaluate the risk/return parameters of a transaction Successful candidates will be expected to assume a substantial amount of responsibility. The Analyst will be required to work in multiple roles and on multiple projects, both independently and as part of a team. Analysts typically work three years before having the opportunity to advance to the Associate position. This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay. This position is incentive eligible. Analyst program length may be 2 or more years. Emerging Talent Program Analysts start with a six-week training program before beginning work within their business unit (this will not apply to hires outside of the Emerging Talent Program). Requirements Bachelor’s degree with proven record of high achievement Coursework in financial accounting and corporate finance Past relevant experience preferred (i.e., summer internships or a minimum of one year of past experience) Skills and Competencies Advanced user of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word C apability to pass Series 79 and Series 63 license exams and requirements Commitment and dedication towards excellence and achieving results Energetic self-starter with willingness to work long hours, take on significant and multiple responsibilities Selected industries of focus include General Industrial & Manufacturing Consumer & Retail Building & Construction Materials Aggregates & Stone Producers Packaging & Paper Textiles & Apparel Lodging & Leisure Food &
