The successful candidate will be a key player in the company's legal affairs, providing strategic advice and guidance on a wide range of legal matters. This role involves the drafting, negotiation, and review of complex contracts, as well as handling claims management and overseeing outside litigation counsel. The Corporate Counsel will also be responsible for developing and implementing legal strategies and policies to mitigate legal risks and ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Collaboration with various departments to address legal concerns and staying abreast of changes in relevant laws is essential. Applicants for the Corporate Counsel position at the company should hold a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school and be a licensed attorney in Florida with a strong background in construction law.
