Job Description
Robert Half is seeking an experienced Corporate Counsel to support a global transportation and logistics company in a wide range of commercial and corporate matter. This role partners closely with internal business teams to deliver practical, business‑oriented legal advice across procurement, operations, IT, and corporate functions. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a lean, entrepreneurial setting and engaging with senior leadership. Director – Corporate Counsel (Hybrid) Location: White Plains, NY Schedule: Hybrid Duration : 4+ months (Potential for permanent hire) Pay Rate: $80–$120/hour (commensurate with experience) Key Responsibilities Commercial Contracts & Procurement Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including Customer charter agreements, Strategic sourcing and vendor agreements, Aircraft‑related services and MRO support contracts, Facilities and airport leasing agreements, Ground handling, fueling, catering, and logistics contracts Develop and maintain contract templates and playbooks to streamline procurement processes Advise procurement teams on risk allocation, contract strategy, and supplier disputes Corporate & Transactions Support key corporate transactions, including joint ventures and acquisitions Provide day‑to‑day legal counsel on general corporate matters across business units Assist with corporate governance, policy development, and internal compliance initiatives Support management of corporate branches Technology, Data & Risk Lead legal support for IT‑related agreements Advise on cybersecurity, data protection, and data processing matters Assist with dispute resolution, claims, and pre‑litigation matters Collaborate with external counsel as needed Business Partnership Work closely with procurement, finance, operations, compliance, and executive leadership Translate legal and regulatory risk into clear, actionable business guidance Contribute to continuous improvement of legal processes and contract lifecycle management Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree 3–10 years of relevant legal experience (law firm and/or in‑house) Active New York Bar admission Experience supporting commercial agreements and corporate matters Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment Comfortable “rolling up sleeves” in a lean organization Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail Our specialized recruiting professionals apply their expertise and utilize our proprietary AI to find you great job matched faster.
