Description Correctional Industries Supervisor Assistant - Laundry Full Time, Permanent Monroe Correctional Complex Monroe, WA Correctional Industries (CI) within the Department of Corrections (DOC) is seeking highly motivated and qualified individual to fill a full time, permanent position as a Correctional Industries Supervisor Assistant - Laundry (CISA). This position is located at Monroe Correctional Complex (MCC) near Monroe, Washington. This position typically works Monday through Friday. DOC OFFERS: Flexible schedules Comprehensive compensation packages Training and development opportunities Duties Correctional Industries (CI) is committed to maintain and expand incarcerated worker training programs which develop marketable skills, instill and promote positive work ethics and reduce the tax burden of corrections. This position supports that objective by directly supervising the activities of CI Laundry located at the Monroe Correctional Complex. Duties include, but are not limited to: Assists in the supervision and training of incarcerated workers to support the daily operations of MCC Laundry services: Observe/supervise incarcerated workers operating and maintaining equipment/machinery in the daily operations at the MCC Laundry. Supervise and train incarcerated workers in the operation of laundry production equipment, production reporting, machine programming, and preventative maintenance. Provide assistance to ensure adherence to daily production schedules and accurate poundage reporting. Assist with process development and program improvement, to include quality control and process definition/review. Operate all machinery and equipment required to meet production needs. Drive box truck to pick up and deliver facility laundry as required. Drive state vehicles to pick up and deliver incarcerated individuals’ uniforms as required. Document and provide feedback on incarcerated worker performance and behavior using infraction reports, incident reports, behavior logs, performance appraisals, certificates of proficiency, letters of counseling, or verbally, as appropriate and in accordance with DOC Policy. Assist in the laundry certification of incarcerated workers and maintain training documentation. Participates in planning and scheduling of resources and assists in inventory control and supply management: Participate in the scheduling of work and incarcerated workers to meet the demands of laundry pickup, processing, and delivery. Direct and assign incarcerated workers. Utilize CI timekeeping system to track/monitor incarcerated workers hours. Assist in control of supply inventory, track usage trends, create purchase requisitions for supplies, parts, and consumables. Monitor and verify SOPs are followed (e.g. identify and report deficiencies, conduct process evaluations, verify correct consumable usage). Monitors and ensures compliance
