Details Correctional facility setting Night shift schedule: 3x12s, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM Every other weekend (2 weekends per month) required Mandatory float facility — all clinicians are required to float at the facility's discretion, including to other Cook County locations within 50 miles Charting performed in Cerner Free parking available on a first-come, first-serve basis No block scheduling accommodations Requirements Active IL RN license required — no pending licenses accepted Current BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of recent acute care Med/Surg experience required Correctional nursing experience preferred 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration Additional Information Candidates must reside within 75 miles of the facility to be eligible — local candidates are accepted Scrub color: Navy Blue Proof of COVID vaccination required — no exceptions PTO is capped at 5 days for the contract, with no more than 2 consecutive days off at a time No RTO will be approved on weekends, on holidays, or the day before or after a holiday Float assignments may include units outside of the clinician's primary area of competency; a team-based care model is used in those cases Clinicians may receive float notifications as little as 2 hours before their shift American Traveler Job ID #P-705962.
