Job Description
Southern Health Partners Inc, a leading provider of healthcare services to correctional facilities across the US, is seeking a dedicated Correctional RN Medical Team Administrator to oversee clinical operations and deliver high-quality care within a secure facility. In this frontline leadership role, you will combine hands-on nursing practice with administrative responsibilities to ensure that incarcerated individuals receive safe, timely, and compassionate medical, dental, and psychiatric services in accordance with state regulations and facility policies. As the Correctional RN Medical Team Administrator, you will serve as the on-site clinical leader, coordinating and supervising the daily activities of the medical team, including nurses, medical assistants, and other support staff. You will conduct and oversee patient assessments, manage medication administration, respond to emergencies, and ensure appropriate chronic disease management and follow-up care. You will collaborate closely with correctional staff, physicians, dentists, and mental health providers to promote a secure, therapeutic environment that prioritizes both patient well-being and facility safety. Your responsibilities will include organizing clinic workflow, maintaining accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record, and monitoring adherence to clinical protocols, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements specific to correctional healthcare. You will participate in policy and procedure implementation, quality improvement initiatives, and audit readiness, helping to ensure compliance with state and local regulations as well as Southern Health Partners’ internal standards of care. This role requires strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and the ability to de-escalate and manage complex patient behaviors in a secure setting. You will provide direct patient care, health education, and discharge planning while also mentoring and coaching nursing staff, promoting teamwork, and fostering a collaborative, supportive culture in line with Southern Health Partners’ values of compassion, respect, and professional growth. Working with Southern Health Partners offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in an often-underserved population, while developing your skills in correctional medicine, leadership, and interdisciplinary coordination. You will be part of a team that values continuous learning and professional development in a dynamic environment. Competitive compensation and benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement options, support your overall well-being as you support the health and safety of others. This position is based on-site within a correctional facility and involves close partnership with facility leadership and custody personnel to maintain a safe, secure clinical environment. The Correctional RN Medical Team Administrator role is ideal for an experienced registered nurse who is ready to step into—or grow within—a leadership capacity, balancing direct patient care with operational oversight and a strong commitment to ethical, high-quality healthcare in the correctional setting.
