We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Estimator II to join our estimating team. This role is responsible for preparing and managing project cost estimates, ensuring accuracy, feasibility, and alignment with organizational objectives. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals to grow within the field of project estimating while gaining exposure to a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and energy projects, including wind, solar, energy storage, transmission & distribution, substations, water treatment, 5G & fiber, hydrogen, pipelines, and conventional generation. Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed cost estimates (conceptual, preliminary, and definitive) for new and existing projects Support conceptual engineering design and develop preliminary construction plans for scope quantification Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to analyze project specifications, drawings, and documentation Perform value engineering to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project quality and requirements Develop and maintain estimating tools, cost databases, and methodologies to improve accuracy and efficiency Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans for project uncertainties Present cost estimates and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior management and clients Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing Track project costs and variances, updating estimates based on scope, design, or market changes Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements Required Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field Basic knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Strong willingness to learn and grow within project estimating Preferred Qualifications: Internship or hands-on experience in construction, engineering, or related fields Experience with cost estimating tools such as PlanSwift, WinEst, CostX, or similar Familiarity with project management tools like MS Project or Primavera P6 Work Environment & Physical Requirements: Office-based role with occasional travel to project sites for meetings and inspections Fast-paced environment requiring the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively This role offers strong growth potential and the opportunity to work on diverse, high-impact projects across multiple industries.
