Job Description Position Summary Scouting America, Orange County Council is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Representative to join our team. This role is crucial in driving participation in our diverse range of programs, including camping reservations, special events, school field trips, and school science camps. The Sales Representative will be responsible for proactively engaging potential customers, providing detailed information about our offerings, and effectively converting inquiries into confirmed bookings. This position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Benefits: Pay range of $17.00-$19.00 hourly. Health, dental, vision insurance, vacation and sick time Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive experience for all individuals and groups booking with Scouting America, Orange County Council. Actively reach out to potential customers (e.g., schools, community groups, parents) through various channels, including phone, email, and outreach efforts. Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries regarding camping availability, event details, field trip options, and science camp curriculum. Provide comprehensive information about program content, schedules, pricing, and any relevant requirements. Guide customers through the reservation and booking process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all necessary information. Maintain accurate records of all interactions, bookings, and follow-up activities in our CRM or booking system. Meet and exceed established targets for booking numbers and revenue generation. Collaborate with the Program Department to stay informed about program details, availability, and any updates to the property or programs. Work closely with other departments to identify potential leads and support overall membership growth initiatives. Participate in outreach events, such as school fairs or community gatherings, to promote our programs. Identify and escalate any customer service issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel. Stay up-to-date on all Scouting America policies and procedures related to program registration and safety guidelines. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., sales, marketing, hospitality, education) a plus. 2-year experience in sales, customer service, or a related field Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities. Proficiency in using phone systems, email, and basic computer applications. Experience with CRM or booking software is a plus. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks. Enthusiasm for the mission and values of Scouting America. Must be able to pass a background check.
