JOB First Review of Applications on May 15, 2026Expected Hiring Range: $45,451 - $51,132Starting Salary Depending on Experience and QualificationsUnder direct supervision, this is specialized clerical position providing a full range of service support to the Town Court, its stakeholders, and the public involving the processing, recording, and filing accurate court documentation, explaining procedures and services to the public, and providing support to judicial and administrative personnel and is a direct resource for staff designated as Court Clerk I. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Performs the job functions detailed in the Court Clerk I job description.Serves as the liaison for the judge and administrative personnel by answering, directing, and responding to incoming calls from the legal community, the public, and court staff.Performs the research necessary to answer inquiries or resolve problems and/or complaints.Effectively communicate procedural and processing requirements when training staff designated as Court Clerk IProvide timely and detailed training feedback about staff designated as Court Clerk I to supervisors.Prepares, drafts, and finalizes orders, notices, and minute entry orders. Schedules and coordinates the appearance of attorneys, interpreters, and court reporters.Provides technical support in the courtroom and for the Judge.Complies with the Arizona Code of Conduct for Judicial Employees.Completes the Committee on Judicial Education and Training (COJET) hours as required by the Arizona Supreme Court. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written communication.Ability to effectively use personal computer hardware and software to the extent necessary to complete job functions.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.Ability to learn court policies and procedures.Ability to use complex computer record keeping systems.Knowledge of customer service techniques and methodsKnowledge of Town and Department policies and proceduresSkill in preparing, maintaining and filing records, documents, letters and reportsAbility to organize work, set priorities, meet critical deadlines and follow up on work assignments with minimal supervision. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION Work is performed in an indoor environment.Must be able to lift or move up to fifty (50) pounds.Regular, daily attendance is an essential function for this position.
