Set up power tools, equipment and hoses for piping crew Assists skilled Craftsman Pipefitters by performing essential tasks like transporting materials, cutting/threading pipes, cleaning work areas, and supporting the assembly and installation of piping systems for air, gas, water and other piping components. Directed by a Qualified Craftsman Pipefitter to assist in bolt-up, grinding and seals to connect on piping systems. Assist in cut, fit and fabricate all kinds of piping materials, such as carbon steel, stainless steel, chrome and PVC pipes. Identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards. Perform all other job-related duties as requested by supervision. Qualifications: Minimum of three (3) years or more in refinery maintenance/turnaround/or construction experience Sets up hoisting equipment for raising and placing structural-steel members. Ability to Load, transport, organize, and unload pipes, fittings, tools, and equipment to the job site. Ability to assist in cutting, fitting, and fabricating all kinds of pipe material. Must be able to measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipes; drill holes; and clean/prepare surfaces for welding or joining. Clean and maintain work areas, remove debris, and ensure a safe environment, eliminating trip hazards. General knowledge of basic hand tools.
