Location: The Welman Project, 2109 S Main Street, Fort Worth, 76110 Terms: In-person | Part-time, 15-25 hours a week | $16.00 per hour | Saturday shifts required (8:30 am to 5:30 pm), other weekday shifts based on your availability Hours of Operation: Tuesday - Friday, 12 pm to 6 pm (Tue 12-8) | Saturday, 9 am to 5 pm About Welman: We’re a local nonprofit organization uplifting our community at the intersection of imagination, education, and the environment. Through creative repurposing of surplus business waste, we give teachers the tools and support they need to provide vital hands-on learning opportunities to every student. Our organization is young and growing, and we prioritize internal promotions for individuals who demonstrate exceptional potential and dedication. About the Role: Our Creative Reuse Sales Associate is an outgoing, creative individual who enjoys engaging with people of all ages in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Leveraging a strong creative vision, they enhance the shop through creating engaging displays, and deliver exceptional customer service while inspiring every visitor to connect with our organization’s mission. Responsibilities: Ensure all visitors have a joyful experience when they shop, donate, or volunteer in the Curiosity Shop Use sound judgment in pricing materials and completing retail transactions Train and supervise Curiosity Shop volunteers, working to engage, develop, and retain an effective volunteer team Maintain the Curiosity Shop as a clean, organized, and inviting space for an exceptional customer experience Assist in styling and stocking displays, promoting creative reuse and sustainable shopping alternatives Assist customers with out-of-reach and occasionally heavy items Requirements: Passionate about creativity, education, and saving the planet Communicates clearly and positively Delivers excellent customer service Demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail Comfortable giving direction and leading volunteers of all ages and abilities Possesses basic computer and smartphone skills (training provided for database and point-of-sale system) Able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs, bend and reach overhead, climb a ladder, and stand/walk for a full shift Has reliable transportation to and from work The Welman Project is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive company.
