Description Role Summary Symmetry Anesthesia is hiring an experienced Credentialing Specialist to own end-to-end provider credentialing and privileging for anesthesiologists and CRNAs across multi-site hospital and ASC programs. This role is hands-on: building clean files, driving credentialing deadlines, coordinating hospital privileges, managing recredentialing, and proactively removing barriers to start dates and revenue capture. Key Responsibilities Provider credentialing & enrollment (core) Manage end-to-end credentialing for physicians and CRNAs, including primary source verification and complete file assembly. Coordinate facility privileging and medical staff onboarding requirements (applications, verifications, committee cycles, supporting documents). Own recredentialing / reappointment calendars; ensure zero lapse in participation or privileges. Roster management & participation maintenance Maintain accurate provider demographic, licensure, DEA, board, malpractice, and privileges data across internal platforms and external portals. Partner with Revenue Cycle/Billing to resolve credentialing-related claim denials and “not credentialed/participating” issues. Operational excellence & audit readiness Maintain credentialing documentation to meet internal policy, payor requirements, and facility standards. Build and improve SOPs, checklists, and templates; ensure consistent, repeatable processes across sites. Prepare reporting (weekly dashboards) on pipeline status, risks, and start-date readiness. Stakeholder communication Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for providers, facilities, and internal leaders. Communicate clearly on timeline, missing items, risks, and escalation needs (without surprises). Qualifications Associates degree or equivalent experience in healthcare administration, business, or related field 2–5+ years of credentialing experience, preferably in anesthesia or multi-specialty medical group settings Demonstrated expertise in hospital privileging, payer enrollment, and licensure requirements Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet strict deadlines Exceptional organizational skills, communication, and detail-oriented skills Requirements 2–5+ years of healthcare provider credentialing experience (physicians strongly preferred; anesthesia is a plus). Strong attention to detail; ability to manage high volume with tight deadlines and minimal supervision. Proficiency in credentialing software (e.g., MD-Staff, symplr, Modio, etc.) for document management, proactive tracking, and status reporting. Comfort working remotely with high accountability and responsiveness. Preferred Qualifications Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) preferred (or actively pursuing). Experience supporting multi-site medical groups and coordinating with hospital medical staff offices (MSOs).
