Job Description
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Helps load and unload equipment into and out of trucks. Assists in servicing and washing vehicles and equipment. Picks up trash and debris, cuts grass and weeds besides streets, sidewalks and alleys; lowers, widens and clean ditches. Performs additional tasks related to street cleaning. Uses rake, shovel and other tools or hands to push refuse spilled from trucks. Uses hose to wash down dumping area. May be required to perform inside housekeeping tasks for temporary length of time; sweeping, dusting, etc. May be assigned temporarily to oil, grease and clean stationary motors and other machinery and equipment. Performs other duties as assigned. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION Physical Requirements. Position requires moderate to extensive stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.Position requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Work Environment. Work is performed outdoors with exposure to noise, chemicals, inclement weather, dirt, grease, dust, and machinery with moving parts requiring use of protective devices.
