Why You'll Love This Role: Impactful Work: Provide short-term therapeutic support to individuals affected by trauma. Flexible, Weekday Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Qualifications: Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling Licensed LSW or LPC required LISW or LPCC strongly preferred Minimum 2 years' experience in social services, behavioral health, or trauma-related settings Valid Ohio driver's license and reliable, insured transportation What You'll Do: Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments for residents entering the shelter. Respond to mental health crises with timely intervention and de-escalation strategies. Provide short-term therapy and support tailored to individual needs. Develop and implement initial treatment plans based on assessments. Facilitate group sessions both in the shelter and the community. Maintain accurate documentation that meets CARF Accreditation Standards, including: Client questionnaires Diagnostic and lethality assessments Mental status exams Treatment plans and case notes Supervise and mentor student interns, providing guidance and quality field instruction. Continuously evaluate the shelter environment to reduce trauma triggers and recommend improvements. Participate in weekly case reviews and continuous quality improvement meetings.
