Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years ICU RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This contract position offers the opportunity to manage diverse critical care patients—ranging from trauma to cardiac and neuro—supported by comprehensive resources and a collaborative network of healthcare professionals. Schedule 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM) 5–6 weekend shifts per 12-shift, 6-week schedule No on-call required Holiday coverage: one shift per major holiday Qualifications Valid RN license and current BLS and ACLS certifications required CCRN certification preferred Minimum 2 years of recent ICU RN experience Willingness to float to all Med/Tele units as needed Strong EKG interpretation skills; must pass EKG competency exam during onboarding Skilled in tracheostomy care, chest tube management, starting PIVs, and titrating critical care drips (e.g., insulin, heparin, vasopressors, sedation, cardiac) Confident in caring for varied ICU populations, including CCU, MICU, STICU, NICU, CVICU, and Progressive Care/Step-down Core Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in intensive care units, maintaining ratios of 1:1–2 patients Manage and titrate drips, monitor conditions, and respond to clinical changes Collaborate with CNAs, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, intensivists, and resource nurses for holistic care Document patient interventions and outcomes using EPIC Participate in a structured orientation and ongoing education Perks Consistent support from 24/7 ancillary teams Free campus parking available Modern facilities with advanced monitoring and EMR systems Highly engaged, team-oriented unit culture Ready to make a meaningful impact in critical care with an experienced, supportive team?
