CT Technologist

Seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist to join our Imaging Services team in Illinois. The CT Technologist will be responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography (CT) scans to assist in diagnosing and treating patients. This position requires a strong understanding of imaging techniques, patient care, and safety protocols. Essential Duties Perform CT Imaging: Perform CT scans in accordance with established protocols and physician orders, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. Position patients and equipment appropriately for procedures to best demonstrate the anatomic area of interest. Select and operate computed tomography equipment, applying principles of radiation safety to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others. Monitor the status of equipment repairs and preventative maintenance, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and functioning. Conduct daily quality control (QC) checks on equipment and imaging systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Patient Care: Prepare patients for imaging procedures and provide practical instructions to alleviate anxiety and ensure understanding. Assume responsibility for the physical and psychological needs of patients during procedures, providing education and counseling as necessary.
