Job Summary The CT Technologist provides computer-assisted tomographic services to patients as ordered by physician according to established standards and practices. Serves as a resource to other technologists. May prepare patient for imaging by administering contrast IV and non-IV. Should be familiar with Imaging Gently and/or ALARA practices to promote low dose, high quality exams. Technologist focused on infant, children and adolescent patients, as well as adults. All imaging staff must be able to address family and patient concerns to help facilitate a Family Centered Care approach. Pay Range Minimum $43.00 Midpoint $44.00 Maximum $44.00 Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements. Experience Required: Experience working in an acute care setting. Preferred: Three (3) years working in an acute care, pediatric environment. Education Required: Graduate from an approved education program in Radiologic Technology. Training Required: None required. Specialized Skills Required: Ability to relate and communicate positively, effectively and professionally with others. Be assertive and consistent in enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure. Ability to communicate effectively in English both written and verbal. Ability to use compute and software programs necessary to the position e.g. Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work well under pressure; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail. Licensure Required: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R); American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Post Primary Certification (ARRT-CT) - to be obtained within nine (9) months of hire or transfer; Basic Life Support (BLS); Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT); California Fluoroscopy Certification within six (6) months of hire or transfer (CRF); Venipuncture Certificate.
