Description Location: UCHealth UCHealth Emergency Powers, US:CO:Colorado Springs Department: Powers ED Work Schedule: Full Time, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Days Pay: $37.35 - $52.29 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option Summary Provides computed tomography imaging, diagnostic imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Collaborates with radiologists and referring physicians. Responsibilities Reviews patient history, physician orders, and lab results to ensure appropriateness. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation. Analyzes imaging results and identifies any quality concerns for further action. When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate. Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure. Performs Point of Care Testing (POCT) and Moderate Complexity Laboratory Testing according to laboratory procedures. Maintains proficiency in testing samples and adheres to quality control policies. Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Resolves image quality issues, including re-positioning patient and repeating procedure. Enters, transmits and reports scan results. Conducts Electrocardiogram (EKG) procedures, vital assessments, splinting assistance and other routine patient care tasks as required.
