Title: Culture & Community Engagement Intern Location: DMV Area (Hybrid – Onsite as Needed) Terms: Internship (Summer; Potential for Extension or Full-Time Conversion) Travel: 0–10% RESULTS. This internship supports RIVA’s enterprise-wide efforts to strengthen employee engagement, elevate internal programs, and expand our brand presence across the federal ecosystem. The role operates at the intersection of People & Culture and Marketing & Communications, supporting initiatives that connect employees, build community, and amplify RIVA’s values both internally and externally. Position Overview RIVA Solutions is seeking a highly motivated Corporate Culture & Community Engagement Intern to support employee engagement programs, culture-building initiatives, and brand presence activities throughout the organization. This is a highly visible role that works directly with executive leadership and supports enterprise-wide initiatives including mentorship programs, ambassador initiatives, engagement campaigns, community events, and brand activations. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, professional, and eager to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of culture, communications, and corporate operations. This internship offers meaningful ownership and exposure, with strong potential for extension or conversion into a full-time Associate-level role for high-performing individuals. Key Responsibilities Employee Engagement & Culture Initiatives Support planning and execution of in-person employee engagement events, team-building initiatives, and company gatherings Assist with coordination of internal programs including RIVANext, RIVAkarma, RIVAEngage, the RIVA Ambassador Program, mentorship initiatives, and intern programming Help activate and sustain internal engagement campaigns that strengthen company culture Serve as a culture ambassador by modeling RIVA values and promoting connection across teams Event Planning & Brand Activation Support the coordination and execution of internal and external events including networking gatherings, holiday celebrations, employee appreciation activities, and community initiatives Represent RIVA at local professional networking and industry events as appropriate Assist in maintaining strong employee participation and presence at company-sponsored events Community & Social Engagement Support community outreach initiatives and local engagement efforts Assist with capturing and organizing event highlights, photos, and internal storytelling content Support internal collaboration platforms (e.g., Slack) to drive engagement, participation, and community-building Contribute to brand-aligned messaging efforts in coordination with Marketing & Communications Program & Operational Support Track participation, engagement metrics, and feedback from programs and events Assist with executive-level coordination related to engagement initiatives Support structured handoffs and documentation to People & Culture and MarCom teams as initiatives evolve Minimum Qualifications Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or related field Minimum 3.0 GPA within major field of study Strong written and verbal communication skills Professional presence and comfort interacting with employees, leadership, and external stakeholders Highly organized with strong attention to detail Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously DMV-based or willing to be onsite as needed for events and engagement activities Preferred Qualifications Prior internship or leadership experience in marketing, events, HR, communications, or campus organizations Experience supporting employee engagement, student leadership, or community initiatives Familiarity with collaboration tools (Slack, Teams, social media platforms) Interest in corporate culture, brand develop
