Posted: May 8, 2026 Closed: May 22, 2026Employment Opportunity: Floral Street SchoolPOSITION: Curriculum Coordinator and Instructional Coach2026-2027 School YearShrewsbury Public Schools is currently accepting applications for a Curriculum Coordinator/Instructional Coach for Floral Street School, beginning with the 2026-2027 school year. This individual will collaborate with the current Floral Instructional Coach, district Coach/Coordinator colleagues, and building-based leadership team.We are interested in candidates who are invested in the achievement, equity, and access of all learners in and beyond the classroom. Experience in data cycle meetings, intervention planning and/or curriculum implementation are preferred.This is a full-time benefits-eligible position with salary consistent with the Shrewsbury Education Association agreement. Salary for this position will be based on the SEA contract. Steps and lanes for 2026-2027 can be found here.Individual placement is contingent upon review and approval of education and experience.Candidates with diverse racial, ethnic, cultural, religious, class, and/or gender backgrounds and experiences are strongly encouraged to apply.Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Works with building leadership to set measurable improvement goals for increased student achievement based on assessment data and observations, including assisting the principal in initiation of educational programs derived from identified needs of individual students and teachers Leads curriculum efforts for K-4 educators, including facilitating the implementation of EL Educations Literacy curriculum in all K-4 classrooms Provides direct support to teachers on implementing best instructional and assessment practices through consultation and coaching, including maintaining a robust schedule for differentiated coaching as informed by instructional rounds and modeling instruction Develops and provides professional development for Pre-K through 4 faculty Assists in providing appropriate materials and instructional strategies to meet the needs of all learners Orders, distributes, and maintains appropriate curriculum materials Participates in parent communication initiatives Collaborates with middle school curriculum specialists and K-12 department directors All other duties as assigned by the principal or other administratorsPreferred Qualifications include: Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license in 1-6 Masters degree Previous instructional coaching experience Strong participation in district-level curriculum work Strong literacy background Demonstrated exemplary competency in elementary core curriculum including the ability to implement best instructional practices in the classroom Professional status educator, with strong instructional skills Demonstrated leadership skills within their current school environment and/or at the district level Demonstrated ability to work well with a team, including the ability to facilitate meetings, build consensus, effectively communicate group decisions and help peers improve their professional practice through effective collaboration Strong communication and group presentation skills Exhibits the values of Shrewsbury Public Schools Must be able to work flexibly in a changing environmentFind more information about Shrewsbury Public Schools at https://schools.shrewsburyma.govApplication Process: Interested candidates should submit a cover letter, resume, official or unofficial copies of undergraduate/graduate transcripts, license # or unofficial copy of license if applicable, and three current professional letters of reference, including one from a direct supervisor, professor, or evaluator.Please apply via www.schoolspring.comThe Shrewsbury Public Schools is an affirmative action employer, ensuring that its programs and facilities are accessible to the public.
