Job Summary Job Summary Under supervision, monitors and personally performs activities related to keeping an assigned site clean, sanitary, safe, and orderly; performs custodial, groundskeeper, and maintenance duties in the upkeep of the facility; and performs related work as required. Incumbents are assigned complete responsibility for the cleaning, maintenance and grounds work for various school sites that are to be kept at a high standard of cleanliness and safe operating condition so that full educational use can be made at all times. This position coordinates and schedules work for custodians and grounds workers. Supervision may be exercised over other custodians and temporary help. The duties listed below are typical for positions in this class collectively, but no one position will necessarily include all these duties. Therefore, the maximum starting rate for an external hire and internal substitutes is $29.28 per hour (Range 17/Step 4 of the Classified Hourly Salary Schedule, effective 07/01/2025).
