Salary $4,449.97 - $5,739.10 Monthly Location Sacramento, CA 95822 Job Type Classified Regular - 12 Months Job Number REQ01573 College Sacramento City College Department SCC Administrative Services Opening Date 03/15/2026 Closing Date 4/5/2026 11:59 PM Pacific FLSA Non-Exempt Bargaining Unit SEIU Beginning (on or about) 05/01/2026 Work Schedule 4:00 p.m.to 12:30 a.m., Monday - Friday Hours per Week 40 Campus Website https://scc.losrios.edu/about-us/our-values Additional Salary Information All regular employees at the time of employment will be placed on the first step of the appropraite salary range and salary schedule.This position also incudes shift differential.Position Summary Under general direction, perform a wide range of cleaning and minor maintenance duties.Oversee temporary employees.For a detailed job description for this Service Employees International Union (Blue Collar) posting click here.Typical Duties Sweep, scrub, apply finishes to and polish floors; vacuum and steam rugs and carpets; sweep walks and entrances; clean windows, woodwork, walls and furniture; disinfect/clean restrooms and drinking fountains; pick up refuse and recyclables and transports; move and arrange furniture and equipment for classroom changes and set-up for college and community events; move and wash district/college vehicles; participate in thorough cleaning and restoration of facilities during off-peak periods (at which time work shifts may change to accommodate cleaning schedule); lock and unlock doors, gates and windows; perform maintenance and minor repairs; receive and pick up supplies and equipment; operate and maintain cleaning equipment; report safety, sanitary and fire hazards.Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications Experience:One year of general work experience including some experience in custodial work.Have an equity-minded focus, responsiveness, and sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, including those with physical or learning disabilities as it relates to differences in learning styles; and successfully foster and support an inclusive educational and employment environment.(Experience Requirement:One year of experience is equal to 12 months of experience at 40 hours per week.Applicable part-time experience will be converted to the full-time equivalent for purposes of meeting the experience requirement.Education Requirement:One year of education is equal to 30 semester units.)
